Access All Areas: Equality & Inclusion Services Launch

Thursday 11 March 2021 – 11:00-12:00 – On Zoom

Kingston Centre for Independent Living (KCIL) is expanding their access auditing and campaigning services and launching a new access reporting function for members of the public. KCIL is uniting lived experience service users and employees with service providers and employers to ensure equality and inclusion for all.

KCIL is building on its previous experience as accessibility consultants and incorporating the lived experience of its staff, members, service users, and trustees. They can help service providers and employers to better understand and fulfil their access obligations and responsibilities.

Good accessibility is an integral part of every organisation and open space, whether you work in education, retail, food, not-for-profits, sports, culture - the list goes on. Working together can help ensure equality and inclusion for all.

KCIL will provide a comprehensive Access All Areas Service, which will include:

  • A variety of access auditing services that cover: initial design stages, planning applications, existing sites, services, HR, comms and more.
  • Our new AAA Report Function for disabled members of the public to provide live feedback on any access issues (and great successes) they encounter.
  • An Access & Mobility Committee – experienced professionals, decision-makers and service users tackle access issues in and around the Royal Borough of Kingston to find out more about KCIL
