The Market Place also serves up international food and plays host to entertainment throughout the year including music, dance and theatre. There are also themed markets and night markets.

This is a general market selling fruit, veg, meat, fish, bread, clothes, fabric, clothes and more. It takes up the ground level of the Cattle Market car park in front of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre – close to Kingston Museum.

Surbiton Farmers MarketThis is a fabulous little market on leafy Maple Road in Surbiton. You’ll find bread, pastries, pies, preserves, fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, cheese and more. The stalls are set up on the pavement outside the parade of shops, bars and restaurants opposite St Andrew’s & St Mark’s School.

Sunbury Antiques Market: This colossus among markets has been going for 30 years in the grounds of Kempton Park Racecourse. There are  over 700 outdoor and indoor stalls selling antique furniture, clothes, jewellery, garden ephemera and collectables of every description. Trade, public, interior designers and prop buyers turn up for this event on the second and last Tuesday of the month. It opens at 6.30 am and runs to around mid-day.

  1. I normally go to Sunbury market but I’ve recently been told it is closing and won’t be there anymore. Does anybody know of any weekly markets near Kingston Upon Thames.
