| June Concert - the final concert for Kingston Choral Society this season Saturday 20 June 2009 7.30pm |
| Kingston Choral Society's new director of music, Graham Ross, has chosen
two favourites from the choral repertoire, Faure's Requiem and Haydn's
'Nelson' Mass for the programme. The Faure will be performed in the
version which the composer is said to have preferred - the original
version scored for a chamber orchestra. The Haydn Mass pays homage
to this great composer in the 200th anniversary year of his death and
is again performed in the original version for trumpet and strings. At Kingston Parish Church, Kingston Book Tickets: www.kingston.gov.uk/etickets |

| Adam Wedd & The Independents www.myspace.com/adamweddandtheindependents |
| "Distinguished
singer-song writers are hard to come by. Often there is little to separate
a busker on the streets of Tottenham Court Road from a multi-platinum
artist playing Wembley Arena. What makes Kingston born Adam Wedd stand
out from the crowd is his ability to fuse pop in its purest form with
jazz inspired melodies. Perhaps his finest attribute is his singing
voice which is as British as cups of tea and digestive biscuits. Every
hook laden song leaves you recollecting the joys of your early childhood
when one would jump in puddles and kick through piles of leaves. Adam
plays with a regular assortment of gifted close friends which includes
a full backing band and a flute player." -Luke Das For booking
