The National Archives centre in Kew, Richmond stages some fantastic events for adults and children. Coming up for the October half term, they have two Time Travel Club events:

The Time Travel Club – A Tommy’s tale (7-11)

23 October| 10:30-12:00 (ages 7-11) 

What was it like to be a soldier in the First World War?

Discover the fascinating life of Henry Fairhurst, by taking part in a mini-mission. Meet Henry himself (played by a professional actor) to hear about his time in the trenches. Then decorate your own ceramic flower-pot and plant poppy seeds as an act of remembrance.


Halloween in the archives

What weird stories are hidden in the archives? Find out about Tutankhamun’s tomb by taking part in our interactive story, before exploring curious records about ghosts, witchcraft and monsters. Then create your own spooky pencil case to take home!
