Mercury’s first gig was played in humble surroundings at the
George and Dragon pub in Derbyshire on 19th February 1999. Tolo Pomar
of Romantic Corporation in Spain was in England searching for a Queen
Tribute Act to play a summer season in Mallorca –so in stepped
Mercury.
Mercury were catapulted into the limelight and won “Best show
in Spain Award 1999”, returning to Mallorca for two further
seasons gaining 100’s of loyal fans who now follow them across
the UK.

Stones - Phoney Rock ‘n’ Roll
Now that they’re recovered from last year’s “Itchy

up), the Counterfeit Stones are rolling out their latest theatre
tour, “It’s Phoney Rock ‘n’ Roll”.
As the name of the tour implies, the band lovingly (and laughingly!)
covers the history of the Rolling Stones from 1963 through to the
stadium gigs of the 1980s. The show which blend stunningly accurate
live renditions of the Stones’ music with the replica (and
sometimes unintentionally hilarious) costumes, the trademark dance

We Will
Rock You is the rock musical based on the songs of Queen. The musical
was written by comedian and author Ben Elton in collaboration with
Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. The original London production
premiered on the 14 May 2002 at the Dominion Theatre and is still
playing there! Played for laughs, We Will Rock You is a spoof of
the classic quest tale with some moments of clever dialogue. Queen
songs include favourites such as “Radio Ga Ga”, “Another
One Bites the Dust,” “Hammer to Fall,” “A
Kind of Magic,” and many more...The story is set 300 years
in the future.

Thursday 8 May : at 7.45pm The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britian Back By Popular Demand!
Fresh from sell-out shows all over the UK, including The Barbican
in London, the Ukulele Orchestra has enjoyed triumphant appearances
on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny on BBC2, BBC 6 Radio, BBC London,
Radio 4 Front Row and Nevermind the Buzzcock’s Christmas Special.
The Orchestra has played a diverse number of venues and festivals
in the UK and through Europe, including GuilFest, Glastonbury, The
Big Chill, The Edinburgh Fringe, Cambridge Folk Festival, and fantastically
received seasons in Berlin and Hamburg. There has been a tour of
Scandinavia and appearances at the 25th anniversary of the Detroit
Festival of the Arts later in 2007.

Ireland – Ballet Extravaganza 200
Following on the enormous success of our last 2 gala seasons, 2005
Diaghilev and the Red Shoes and 2006 Tchaikovsky Celebration Gala,
next spring we will present Ballet Extravaganza 2008. It will include
three groundbreaking brand new ballets based on stories by the renowned
Irish dramatist and poet, Oscar Wilde. First of these is Salomé,
which will include the legendary dance of the seven veils. The Picture
of Dorian Grey, the extradinary tale of narcissistic Dorian Grey
and his aging portrait in the attic, and The birthday of the Infantin.

Hot Seven Myers Studio Theatre
A style of their own but influenced by the great classic bands of

Grumpy Old Picture Show
The only person to have appeared in every one of BBC's Grumpy Old
Men, Rick Wakeman suddenly found himself in a new guise as a highly
in demand raconteur, which mixed with his unique style of piano and
keyboard playing, resulted in some highly successful shows around
the world.
