THE BOOM BAND
The Boom Band features 4 superb guitarists-Jon Amor (The Hoax), Marcus Bonfanti (Ten Years After), Mark Butcher and Matt Taylor (Snowy White/The Motives), plus keyboard player Paddy Milner (Tom Jones/Jack Bruce). Their debut album received rave reviews across the board. Van Morrison declared “this band is great – they’re on the money!”, after the Boom Band had backed him at the Paul Jones’ Charity Show in December 2014.
Every one of the front line is not only a great player but also a fine singer and talented songwriter. Everybody brings something to the party, there are no weak links. And, perhaps remarkably, at the same time there are no egos. Everyone has the experience and temperament to be able to sit back and let others shine and then step up and shine themselves when the time is right. The band is currently in the process of writing new material for their second studio album, due 2017. matttaylor.info/the-boom-band. £15

BOOTLEG BLONDIE – Eel Pie Summer Special!
BOOTLEG BLONDIE is the official Debbie Harry & Blondie tribute band and the only Blondie tribute to play the legendary CBGB’s in New York City before it’s demise in 2006. CBGB’s was the Holy Grail of American Punk and New Wave, where the real Blondie first kicked off their career.
Bootleg Blondie has played the Isle Of Wight Festival, the 100 Club and the Hammersmith Palais in London, The Electric Ballroom, Eric’s in Liverpool, and have opened up for amongst others The Undertones, Slade, Bad Manners, The Beat, Heaven 17, Toyah, Hazel O’Connor, Tony Hadley and can be seen at all the major venues and festivals around the UK and Europe.
Debbie Harris and the boys have met the REAL Blondie and are officially endorsed by the band. Debbie Harry got in touch in 2006 when she heard they were playing CBGB’s in New York City to wish them good luck with their show and when Clem Burke, Blondie’s charismatic drummer, found out that Bootleg Blondie were making a replica of his Premier drum kit, he arranged for them to meet him to sign their bass drum skin.
Debbie Harris, lead vocalist of Bootleg Blondie, has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t.shirts with more holes than t.shirt! Debbie’s pride & joy is her guitar which she plays at every show and is signed by all the Blondie band members.
Debbie Harris is the niece of the celebrated singer and actress Shani Wallis who played Nancy in Lionel Bart’s musical film ‘Oliver’!
