Family-friendly Bike Ride Sunday 21st September 2025

With it being Sustainable September, Kingston Cycling Campaign and Full Cycle are inviting residents of all ages to join us on the morning of Sunday 21 September for our final, fun-packed FREE family-friendly ride of the year! This time we’ll be starting in Fairfield Recreation Ground (meeting by the park pavilion) and, as an added incentive to get on your bike, we’ve chosen that weekend as it’s the eve of World Car Free Day too. More info and free sign up on tiny.cc/FunRideSept25.

10:45am -12.30pm Fairfield Park, Fairfield Rd Kingston KT1 2PY
All ages Welcome

To help encourage residents to consider using a bike for local journeys, we’ve also arranged:

  • Full Cycle Community Bike Project will be on hand to help with some basic Dr Bike-style TLC before and after the event.
  • The local Police will be doing free bike registering on the day to help people keep their bikes secure,
  • Lime Bikes should be running a pop-up coffee morning with the newly-opened Nino Cafe, offering drinks and pastries for participants, with Lime representatives talking about how their community cycling programmes and funding initiatives.

The easy-paced 6-mile ride will take in cycle-friendly routes along the river, through Surbiton and back via Berrylands to try to build people’s cycling confidence and remind them how much fun cycling can be! We hope this will help inspire more people cycle more, whether to school, the shops, work or just out and about.
