Lemn Sissay

An Audience with Lemn Sissay 14:00 – 16:00

This year’s KU Big Read features My Name is Leon, a moving story about a boy’s progress through the care system.This is an associated event with Lemn Sissay, probably the UK’s best known care-leaver. LEMN SISSAY MBE is the author of several books of poetry as well as articles, records, public art, and plays. He was the official poet for the London Olympics in 2012, for the FA Cup in 2015 and his edition of Desert Island Discs was ‘Pick of the Year’ for BBC Radio in 2015. He is currently Chancellor of the University of Manchester. Location: Lawley Lecture Theatre, Kingston Hill Campus, KT2 7LB
