Villa InCanto brings to Normansfield theatre the comic Opera Rita, ou Le mari battu (Rita, or The Beaten Husband) composed by Gaetano Donizetti.
At an inn belonging to Rita, the tyrannical and abusive wife of the timid Peppe, the couple finds that their lives are thrown into turmoil with the unexpected arrival of Gaspar, Rita’s first husband, whom all believed to have drowned.

Tim Garland and Thomas Gould Quartet

Internationally recognised soloists celebrate their shared love of the fertile ground merging jazz and classical styles with brand new arrangements/compositions by Grammy winning saxophonist Tim Garland. Influences from Tango, Milonga and a new variation on the Vivaldi theme help form a highly virtuosic set buzzing with spontaneity.

Ain’t Misbehavin’ – Marble Hill Singers

The Marble Hill Singers are a South West London based Chamber Choir who have performed all over England. The theme for this concert is ‘Memorable songs for films’ including SKyfall, Mission Impossible, Cabaret and Singing in the Rain. The conductor is Robert Mingay-Smith. All proceeds from this event are going to the Down’s Syndrome Association.

Legendary guitarist John etheridge has had substantial relationships during his 45 year career with some of the most famous names of 20th century music including Stephane Grappelli, Nigel Kennedy, John Williams, Yehudi Menuhin and Soft Machine. Tonight he joins forces with sensational vocal star Vimala Rowe, who has been gaining plaudits wherever she goes.
Together, John Etheridge and Vimala Rowe weave a magical spell, effortlessly travelling musically from India to Africa, Middle East and the USA. There will also be solos from John, taken from his celebrated show that he has performed for 10 years all over Europe. This is a unique pairing that satisfied on so many levels. Not to be missed!
