Romantic Visions
Tickets are now available for Kingston Choral Society’s Spring Concert ‘Romantic Visions’ on March 21st 2026 at 7.30pm at All Saints Church, Kingston KT1 1JP.
The audience will enjoy an unforgettable evening of music by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms. KCS will be conducted by Andrew Griffiths, with KCS’s new partner orchestra the Thames Camerata, and 3 distinguished soloists.Brahms’ Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny) contrasts the bliss of the gods with the sorrows of the human condition, while Schumann’s Nachtlied evokes the serene world of sleep. Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture portrays the fall of a once supreme hero and Mendelssohn’s Die Erste Walpurgisnacht is a dramatic musical rendition of the clash between Druidic tradition and Christianity.
