Light Music for a Summer Evening

The Kingston Chamber Orchestra Summer Concert will feature a number of short pieces including Krommer’s very inventive concerto for 2 clarinets performed by the orchestra’s clarinetists – Stephen Willis & Clare McEvoy, and Prokofiev’s popular Classical Symphony. There will be a first performance of The Battle – a score for an imaginary film from the young composer Oscar Price and a second performance of Stone of the Seven Kings, a work written for the Kingston Chamber Orchestra in 2004. David sadly died last year, so we are performing his work again as a tribute to a man who was both an inventive composer and a talented poet.
