Free Public Singalong at Waterloo Station 6th December 2025

Sound of music waterloo

60 Years of Sound of Music in Song

Celebrating 60 years of the first pressing of the chart-topping film soundtrack, Sound of Music! First pressed at New Malden’s Decca Records back in 1965, we’re bringing the cinematic hit back to its birthplace with a second public singalong (or two) on 6 December.

Now a regular favourite in the Christmas TV schedule, The Sound of Music premiered in cinemas 60 years ago, with the album of the movie soundtrack becoming the best-selling in the UK in 1965, 1966, and 1968.

Come and celebrate the anniversary with a mass singalong at Waterloo Station on Saturday 6 December!

Join in the singing at Waterloo Station (by The Sidings) with performances at 11:30 & 12:30.  No singing experience required. Sing classic songs from The Sound of Music as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the record breaking The Sound of Music album in a fun event for everyone.

Dress for the occasion, be it as a nun or any other character from the film!
